CY-Data Engineer - English

Grow-Talent.com is working with an award-winning, multi-regulated broker offering a wide range of asset classes including CFDs on Forex, Stocks, Indices, Commodities, Cryptocurrencies and bonds, as well as Exchange Traded Derivatives (Futures & Options). Together, we're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their team in Limassol or Tallin.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop data integration solutions for the extraction, transformation and loading of data into Data lake and/or data warehouse using modern cloud-based solutions

• Design and develop rich data models for data analysis purposes

• Develop import procedures for gathering, storing, and analyzing corporate data from various other sources

• Actively contribute to the continued design and development of organization's current data estate

• Analyse business requirements and develop unique simple solutions to meet the immediate and long-term BI demands of the group

REQUIREMENTS:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

• At least 4 years' experience in a similar position in a financial services organization

• Strong SQL skills along with strong Data Warehouse design principles knowledge

• Good understanding of data lake design practices along with basic storage formats like csv, json, parquet etc

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming languages like Python and Scala

• Ability to translate complex source data into a consumable format and structure

• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, logical analysis, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills

• Design and implement complex, multi-step pipelines that orchestrate data movement across different data stores

• Ability in liaising with product management and content owners to produce impactful visualizations

• Excellent knowledge of the English Language both written and oral is a must

• Team player and having excellent communication skills is a must

  
  

  It will be considered an advantage if you have:

• Familiarity with Azure cloud ecosystem

• Experience in financial markets

• Good knowledge in data visualization, including dashboard development and design principles using Power BI or Tableau or other reporting tools

• Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others
